Missions Team

Through the years, we’ve had partnerships and sent missionaries and teams to several countries including Kenya, India, Haiti, Honduras, China, and most recently, Brazil. We currently have a partnership with the pastors of a Vineyard church there, Steve and Elba Dolan, and we’ve already sent several teams to assist in both building and repairs, and hosting Vineyard conferences along the Xingu River.

Missionaries We Support

Currently we are supporting Ellie Wakefield as she works with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in California, and the Dolans, our family contact in Brazil.


  • I am a missionary with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) near Yosemite National Park in California. I went out to YWAM Yosemite in 2020, but when Covid hit, I stayed to join the staff. Since then, I’ve led teams in Western and Southern Asia, street evangelising and trekking in the Himalayan mountains. I feel called to someday work long-term in West Asia. I’m also involved in YWAM Yosemite’s Sierra Track of their DTS (Discipleship Training School), where students train to go to hard to reach places like remote villages in the Himalayas for outreach. Here’s what God’s been teaching me lately: The value of what’s hard. It’s easy to see the value when you accomplish it. But what did it take to get there? Did I complain or did I press in? Knowing me, probably both haha. But there’s an opportunity to dig deep and ask God to help. And the reward is sweet.

    Psalm 94:17-19 - ‘If the Lord had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence. When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.’

    Elba has been a part of the church planting movement in Brazil from the beginning and helped start one of the first Vineyard churches in Altamira, Brazil. Where she served as Senior Pastor until December of 2022. Elba is also one of the National coordinators for the Vineyard Churches in Brazil and a regional coordinator.

    Steve went on his first short-term mission trips to Brazil in June 2001, then returned in February 2002 and September 2002. He began serving as a full-time missionary in December 2002. Steve and Elba were married on November 8th, 2003.

    Steve and Elba left Altamira, and as of January 2023, they now live in Belém Pará. Belém is located in Northern Brazil and is the capital and largest city of Pará. It is situated on the Guajará Bay, part of the Amazon River delta. We believe the Lord has led them there to start a church to continue expanding the Kingdom of God.

  • The Refuge

    The Refuge Men’s Residential Addiction Recovery Program progresses in four phases throughout 13 months and is offered free of charge if accepted. It continues to grow and expand to serve not only the 75+ men in our locations across central Ohio, but their families, churches and communities as well. There is absolutely no cost and no insurance needed to be a part of our ministry. The residential ministry has had the honor of helping more than 5,000 men enter a new life free from addiction and on their way to becoming better citizens, sons, husbands, and fathers. The Refuge has seen tremendous growth as a hub of discipleship and transformation, and we trust God to continue to use us to “…bring Good News to the poor…to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free…”

  • Helping Hands for Honduras

    Helping Hands for Honduras, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia, under the direction of the Board of Directors. Since its establishment in the year 2001, our organization's number one priority has been to support Honduran children and young adults with Congenital Heart Defects. Our program has grown dramatically due to the huge number of children who were not treated due to the lack of hospitals and trained health professionals in this specialized field.

  • LifeWise Academy

    LifeWise Academy is a released time religious instruction program that provides Bible-based character education to public school students during school hours. Under released time laws, students can be released from public school during the day to attend religious classes, provided the program is off school property, privately funded and parent-permitted.
    LifeWise, as of 2023, is new to the Lancaster City School systems.
