You can expect to encounter God and loving relationships here at the Lancaster Vineyard. That is our goal for our Sunday services. We start our services promptly at 9am and 10:30am and generally run 70 minutes. We start with announcements followed by 25 minutes of worshipping God through music. After worshipping through music, our Junior High students are released to their class (2nd Service Only) and we have a 30 minute relevant teaching from God’s Word. We close with a prayer and ministry tie where people are free to receive prayer and where all of us expect God to touch our lives.
On Sundays we offer children's classes for infants through 5th grade. Those in High School are encouraged to sit it on the service in the Sanctuary. Wednesday Nights (September - May) we have Youth Group for students in 6th through 12th Grade and Kid's Club for 1st through 5th Graders. Both start at 7pm and end at 8:30pm.
The most common two words we hear from guests are “real” and “welcoming”. Most guests say that this church is real. They talk about how we dress down. They talk about how from the people they meet to our pastors that there is a genuineness about us. We are real with our successes and failures in our journey. By "welcoming", most guests mean they were greeted not only at the door (by ‘greeters’ who are supposed to do that) but by regular folks in the lobby and in the Sanctuary. They felt accepted and listened to. They sensed the Lancaster Vineyard was a place where they could belong.
No matter how you ended up finding us we appreciate the opportunity to share with you a little bit about the Vineyard. I love our church. When I say that I’m not talking about a building or a program – I’m talking about the people. I hope by visiting this site you will get a feel for the people God has drawn together to form a family of faith called the Lancaster Vineyard Church. - Pastor Joel
